Essencia Bakery

This is a great local bakery and coffee shop. Excellent beads and pastries, great coffee and loose leaf teas. Always busy but always worth it. Our family loves going here on Saturday mornings.

I like it all but it was a little too spicy for me so I wasn't able to eat they are good people everything was nice and clean they greeted you with a smile there was they they wanted to get you seated as quick as I could but sometimes it was hard but when American food I was like okay you have waffle with cream cheese and strawberries that's what I said okay they are going on the map they are good people and I like them I like everything better that's nice not so bright they will shut the shutter okay have a nice day

Great service! Limited on wall outlets but great WiFi. The sweet potato soup is vegan and awesome!

Sweet potato curry soup is delicious. 4 stars because of some things that could be better. Macarons are dry and disappointing the majority of the time, but croissants and cinnamon beehives are always yummy.

Very friendly staff. The place smells absolutely amazing tons of fresh made baked goods and I have to say I'm not a huge fan of hot chocolate but they've had the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted. While I was there I had jam and bread which seems like a very simple dish to have at a bakery. It was far from simple it was simplistic Elegance

Beautiful location in downtown Yakima. I liked that there was a crosswalk right next to the store. The croissants were well done with light crispy outsides and good savory and sweet fillings. I got the ham and cheese one. Also got the chocolate mousse which was well made.

I absolutely admire this place for what they offer! The quality is amazing. They serve coffee, pastry, cookies, bon bons, other sweets, and full loaves of wonderful bread! I love this place.

Chocolate Croissant was fine but microwaved. Sandwich has LOTS of bread but not much filling. Sweet potato soup was very good. But the thing that made me give this place two stars was the fruit salad...seriously...YOU'RE IN YAKIMA in August. There is nothing but amazing fruit here. Why are you serving pineapple and last year's apples?

The espresso related drinks are always better than the 'bucks. I always come back for the orange olive oil cake. Hopefully, they would just keep it permanent on their menu.

One register for a line of people not good. Bread is good, but the staff seems at times a bit lost.

Walking in, the display of treats triggers my mouth to water. Approaching the counter I’m greeted by a friendly person eager to satisfy my hunger, sweet tooth and coffee cravings. The food is delicious. The coffee is well crafted. I can not recall a time that I was not satisfied with anything I’ve ordered, if there has ever been a time. In conclusion, I highly recommend taking a visit or if you are a local like myself, stopping in for the weekly craving.

My girlfriend bought a German Chocolate cake here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend their food, coffee, and pastries.

Interesting spot with character. It's cozy and a fun place to take people to a local business. They have great pastries. The hard part about this place is they don't have a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. They have good coffee options and lunch options otherwise.

Really yummy food. They have both sweet treats and healthy options. I went during a lunch rush so things took awhile. You can call in orders, get them to go, or take a seat to stay and eat. Since I visited during the lunch hour it was hard to find parking but there is a lot behind the bakery, you can access it from turning into the side street/alley right next to the building Essencia is in.

If the customer service matched the quality of the food, I would be happy to give 5 stars. My friend and i werent greeted in the slightest bit. The gal at the register pretty much acted like we werent there. I asked her what kind of sandwiches they served and she looked at me, turned around, slapped a couple things on a magnetic board behind her and then turned back around and looked at me. No explanations. No smiles. No nothing except a feeling that we were an inconvenience. We came in about 11am so the place was not busy. The food was excellent. No complaints there.

I hate coming here for coffee, because I'm always super tempted by their amazing breads and baked goods. This place is quite frankly, a gem. Yakima is lucky to have it.

Great place to have lunch and a good value for the quality of food. But it would be nice to have the lunch specials posted online or on Facebook so people don't have to call and bother staff everyday to get the specials.

Great coffee and great pastries

I rarely write reviews but this bakery is honestly the best bakery I've been to. I LOVE pastries and enjoy finding new bakeries to try different kind of pastries and I can tell you, Essencia Bakery is truly a gem. You HAVE to try their Kouign-Amann and Beehive, those two are always my go-to's, but they have other types of goodies such as tarts, scones, pound-breads, pies, sandwiches, chocolates, and more. I know it's on the pricier side but let me tell you, once you try them, you won't even think about the prices anymore. It's honestly worth the price and I never complain about the quality of their breads. It can get busy at times so just be patient with them too because they're always doing the best they can to provide the best service!

I was looking for something sugar-free as a birthday present to my dad who has diabetes. They didn't have anything that day but sure did the next morning! Friendly customer service great atmosphere very inviting and warm place where everybody could be welcomed. I'll be back, glad they're here in Yakima.

Wonderful service, delicious treats, exceptional quality, and a real, creamy cappuccino (NOT a watered down drive-thru version). I recommend bringing a book and sipping your espresso from a mug. Old world, crusty breads; delicate, flakey pastries; so many treats to take home for later. Such a surprising gem for downtown Yakima!

Sold out of lunch special at noon. No dressing on spinach grapefruit salad. Usually no complaints
